When Honolulu native Tracee Lee made the move from Punahou High to Pacific in 1991, she made an immediate impact on the Tiger program. She played in the #1 singles position and the teamed up in the #1 doubles spot in the lineup all four years.

As a freshman, she rocked the college tennis world with a win over Harvard’s Erika DeLone, who was #2 in the country at the time. Lee qualified for the NCAA Tournament as an individual and won two rounds before falling in the Round of 16.Â

Lee became a two-time national qualifier when she teamed up with Marsa Kuurne to qualify in doubles play in 1995. Her senior year also included a marque team win over UCLA. Lee picked up a key victory at #1 singles, defeating Janice Chi, who was ranked fifth in the country at the time.

Pacific was a three-time Big West runner-up during Lee’s four years. She was honored as the 1995 Big West Player of the Year. She was a three-time Big West first-team honoree as a singles player, plus she and Marsa were honored three times as a first-team doubles team.Â

Following graduation, she played professionally, coached a high school program in Seattle and now is a business manager for a graphics design company there.
