Jack Myers served a variety of capacities on the Pacific football sidelines over a span of nine years.
"Moose" arrived on campus in 1951 fresh off a season with the Los Angeles Rams, serving as the Tigers' backfield coach under Ernie Jorge for two years. The next year, Myers took the reins as head coach and remained in the position until his departure in 1960.
In his tenure, "Moose" amassed a .542 winning percentage in Stockton, the fourth-highest by a head coach in program history.Â
In 1956, Myers took on the simultaneous role of Athletic Director, which he held for the four years until he left Pacific for a one-year stint as an assistant with the San Francisco 49ers.
To this day, Myers is dearly beloved by his former players. Dubbed "Moose Myers' Men," this group of former Pacific football players has raised approximately $80,000 for a partial scholarship.Â
