Don "Tiny" Campora played tackle for Pacific's football team from 1946-49 after World War II Navy service. The Tigers went an unprecedented 29-2-2 with Campora at the line of scrimmage.

Campora was part of the 1949 team that went a perfect 11-0 under head coach Larry Siemering, capping off their year with a dominant 75-0 win at Hawaii.

The Tigers of 1949 set an NCAA record with 575 points and were ranked No. 10 by the Associated Press.

Campora went on to play professionally for the San Francisco 49ers and Washington Redskins, a second-round pick by the 49ers in 1950. Following a professional playing career, Campora turned to coaching in 1951 as a line coach under Siemering at Arizona State. Future coaching stints for "Tiny" included the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian League, Delta College and Pacific.
