Hall of Fame
As a student-athlete and then as a coach, Dragan Bakic played a key role in building the foundation for today’s Pacific water polo program. A native of Croatia, he became just the second Tiger to earn All-America honors in four seasons. He also led the Tigers in scoring all four seasons, finishing his career third on the all-time scoring list with 245 goals.

In 2005, he helped the Tigers to a 19-14 record and earned second-team All-America honors.Â

Bakic remained in Stockton following graduation, serving as an assistant coach alongside new head coach James Graham in 2008-09. From 2010 to 2013, he coached the boys and girls water polo squads at nearby Saint Mary’s High.Â

He currently coaches in Australia, overseeing the men’s program at Sydney University and the Australian Junior National Team. He works for Insignia Financial.Â
