George Truckell played football for Pacific from 1931 to 1934 under Erwin "Swede" Righter and Amos Alonzo Stagg.Â
Truckell's Tigers went 5-2-2 in his first year under Righter
He went on to enjoy a four-year career in the California Football League and later the Pacific Coast Football League, playing both for and alongside Larry Siemering, Pacific's all-time winningest football coach.Â
Truckell earned All-PCFL honors in 1944 after leading the San Francisco Packers to a second-place showing with a 4-3 record.
He was one of six Tigers on the 1938 Stockton Shippers team that went 4-0 under Siemering, and was named a Distinguished Alumni by UOP in November of 2011.
