Larry Siemering is regarded as one of the most successful and well-known head coaches in Pacific football history, leading the Tigers to national prominence and with a high-octane offense from 1947 to 1950.

Siemering owns the highest winning percentage of any Pacific head coach at .875 with a record of 35-5-3 over his four-year tenure.

His run in Stockton includes the storied 1949 team led by All-American quarterback Eddie LeBaron. Siemering's 1949 Tigers finished the year a perfect 11-0 at No. 10 in the final Associated Press poll, racking up a program record 575 points while only giving up 66.

Pacific was crowned California Collegiate Athletic Association champions in 1947 under Siemering with a 10-1 record. That was the first of back-to-back Grape Bowl bowl appearances for the Tigers, who beat Utah State 35-21 in the 1947 before tying Hardin-Simmons 35-35 the next year.

Siemering coached numerous future professional football players throughout his four years in Stockton, including LeBaron and Don "Tiny" Campora.

Under Siemering, the Tigers compiled four of the top six seasons on the program list of most points scored in a single season and scored 70 points or more on three occasions, all in 1949.
