Clyde Conner played football for Pacific from 1954 to 1956 under Jack "Moose" Myers, leading the 1956 Tigers to a 6-3-1 record.
Conner also starred on the basketball court for the Tigers in those three years, earning all-conference honors in 1954 and 1955.Â
He went undrafted on the gridiron, but still enjoyed a successful eight-year career with the San Francisco 49ers after a tryout.Â
He caught 49 passes in 1958, fifth most in the NFL that year while racking up 512 yards with five touchdowns.Â
Over his career, Conner amassed 203 catches fro 2,643 yards and 18 touchdowns while being on the receiving end of throws from 49ers legends John Brodie and Y.A. Tittle.Â
