A.D. Williams is remembered as one of Pacific's most remarkable football players, and was inducted posthumously to the Pacific Athletics Hall of Fame following an excellent career at Pacific and in the National Football League.

Williams was a three-time letter winner while at Pacific (1953-1955), leading the 1954 Tigers with 19 receptions and tying for the team lead with 18 points scored. He fnished the season with 219 yards on 19 receptions.

He again led the team in receptions during his 1957 season, totaling 17 receptions for 252 yards in his final season. Williams was selected to play in the East-West Shrine All-Star Game following his outstanding senior season. 

Following graduation at Pacific, Williams went on to an impressive six-season career in the NFL after being selected in the third round of the 1956 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams. He stayed with the Rams for three years before moving to the Green Bay Packers in 1959.

Williams played one season for the Packers under Vince Lombardi, then played played the 1960 season with the Cleveland Browns before retiring with the Minnesota Vikings at the conclusion of the 1961 season. 

Williams returned to Pacific in 1968 as an assistant football coach for two seasons for fellow Hall of Famer Doug Scovil.
