One of the best ever to play under center for the Tigers, four-time All-American Eddie LeBaron was a standout on the football field from 1946 to 1949.

LeBaron played under head coaches Amos Alonzo Stagg and Larry Siemering, quarterbacking the undefeated 1949 team that went 11-0 and soared to a No. 10 national ranking.

He ranks third all-time in Pacific history with 3,841 passing yards and second all-time with 49 career touchdown passes. LeBaron also racked up a third-best 3,900 yards of total offense in his three years. He threw 16 touchdowns in 1947, tied for third all-time.

After college, LeBaron joined the Washington Redskins in 1952 as a 10th-round pick in 1950 and remained with the franchise through 1959 with a one-year hiatus in 1954. LeBaron graduated from law school in 1959 and moved to Texas after being traded to the soon-to-be-named Dallas Cowboys, quarterbacking America's Team in their first four years of existence.

He was a four-time Pro Bowler in his 11-year career and for five seasons, finished in the top ten in passing yards while leading the league in 1958.

LeBaron was a 2005 recipient of the Amos Alonzo Stagg Award of Honor.
