Jim McCargo played three years of basketball for Pacific under head coaches Dick Edwards and Stan Morrison, leading Pacific to a perfect 13-0 home record for the 1971-72 season in the Tigers' first season as members of the Pacific Coast Athletic Association
He finished his three-year career for the Orange and Black as one of 29 current 1,000-point scorers, ranking seventh all-time in program history with 16.25 points per game. For his career, McCargo also ranks in the top 10 in program history in rebounds, rebound average, scoring average and field goals made.Â
He was a two-time Second Team All-PCAA selection, earning first team honors in 1973.
