Steve Goulart played football for the Tigers from 1978 to 1980, earning two First Team All-Pacific Coast Athletic Association honors under head coaches Chester Caddas and Bob Toledo.

He was also named a UPI All-West Coast honoree and earned All-American Honorable Mention honors in 1979. 

Goulart earned his MBA from Harvard in 1984 and was named ot the Pacific Board of Regents in 2001.
