The 1998 women's soccer team finished 15-3-3 and 7-0-2 in Big West Conference play, earning the school's first-ever berth into the NCAA Tournament.
The Tigers defeated California 2-1 in Stagg Stadium in the opening round, advancing to the Round of 32 and becoming the first Big West soccer team in history to advance past the first round.
The Tigers were led by head coach Keith Coleman, who earned 1998 Big West Coach of the Year honors. On the field, 1998 Big West Player of the Year Natalie Dorr led the team with 14 goals, including eight game-winners and 10 assists.
The 1998 Tigers were the first soccer team in Big West history to post an unbeaten conference season record (7-0-2).
