Dick Edwards roamed the sidelines for Pacific men's basketball as the head coach from 1963 to 1972.

Edwards is the third-winningest coach in program history in terms of winning percentage, winning 169 games over nine years for a .701 winning clip.

His Tigers put together back-to-back West Coast Athletic Conference championship seasons in 1965-66 and 1966-67 with a combined record of 46-10 and 27-1 in conference play.

Edwards' nine-year tenure on the sidelines included two All-Americans, an Academic All-American selection, 11 all-conference selections, five draft picks, five 1,000-point scorers and two of the program's four retired jerseys.

Edwards has seen numerous records set while at Pacific, including Bill Stricker's 44-point performance against Portland on December 21, 1968 that still stands as the program's single-game record. The Tigers' 118 points in a 118-89 win over Fresno State on December 13, 1969 is also a school record.
