The 2005-06 team won the regular-season Big West title at 12-2, won the tournament championship and recorded a 24-8 overall record. The Tiers were seeded 13^th in the NCAA field and pushed fourth-seeded Boston College to double overtime before falling, 88-76.  Maraker was the 2006 Big West Player of the Year, and he was joined on the first team by Johnny Gray. Bob Thomason was the Coach of the Year all three seasons.
