The 2004-05 squad had an undefeated 18-0 Big West record and a 27-4 overall mark. Although the Tigers lost in the conference tournament championship game, they earned an at-large berth in the NCAA field where they were seeded eighth and beat ninth-seeded Pittsburgh, 79-71, before falling to top seed Washington, 97-79. David Doubleday was the Big West Player of the Year and Maraker and Guillaume Yango joined him on the first team.
