Bruce Orvis played football for Pacific from 1946 to 1949 and was a member of Larry Siemering's magical 11-0 1949 team.

A fullback under Siemering and the famed Amos Alonzo Stagg, Orvis racked up 315 carries for 2,461 yards and 26 touchdowns in his four years in Stockton. His 2,461 yards are sixth in program history.

Orvis starred at nearby Oakdale High School before Stagg convinced him to suit up for the Tigers.

The NFL soon came calling for Orvis after his college days, but he opted to return to his ranch.
