The 1947 Pacific Football Team finished with the second-best record in school history at 10-1.
Led by one of the most decorated players in Pacific history in All-American quarterback Eddie LeBaron, the Tigers won seven consecutive games to close the season, including its final two wins in the Grape Bowl (35-21 over Utah State) and Raisin Bowl (26-14 over Wichita State).
Larry Siemering was the first year head coach of the Tigers in 1947, after taking over for legendary coach Amos Alonzo Stagg. Two years later, in 1949 Siemering would lead the Tigers to the only undefeated mark in school history (11-0).
