STOCKTON, Calif. - The Tigers logged their second walk-off victory of the season Friday night as they beat visiting Seattle 2-1 in eight innings on day one of the Libby Matson Tournament. Marissa Young was strong in the circle for the Tigers, pitching eight innings with just one earned run and nine strikeouts. Samantha Owen went 2-3 at the plate with a double, a triple, a run scored and the game-winning RBI. The win brings Pacific to 4-5 on the year while the loss drops Seattle to 2-9. 

After walking the first batter, Marissa Young went on to strike out three in the top of the first. In the top of the second the Redhawks loaded the bases with no outs. Young got Cherise Silvan to pop out to Molly Bourne and Megan Ottino to pop out to Caitlyn Sung. Young then managed to get out of the inning unscathed as she got Paige Bouska to ground out to her, keeping it scoreless. 

In the third the Redhawks took the lead on a two-out single up the middle to go up 1-0. Young struck out the first two batters in the fourth, giving her six in the game. 

In the bottom of the fifth Pacific put two on with one out as Haylee Moran-Rowen ran out a bunt single, moving Starr Vang to second. However the Tigers couldn't bring the runners around, and it was still 1-0. 

Young continued her stellar outing in the circle in the sixth, striking out the side to keep the game within reach. The Orange and Black knotted the score in the bottom half on a Samantha Owen double and a Rachel Sellers single up the middle to plate her to make it 1-1.

In the eighth Pacific loaded the bases with one out for Samantha Owen, who made it count with a sacrifice fly to left to score Sung for the winning run. 

The Tigers take on Cal State Northridge tomorrow at 12:15 PM playing Seattle at 4:45 PM. On Sunday Pacific will play Sacramento State back-to-back at 12:15 PM and 2:30 PM.
