Olivia Silvestre’s Three-Run Blast Propels Pacific to Senior Day Victory

STOCKTON, Calif. – Redshirt senior Olivia Silvestre stepped up to the plate with two outs in the fourth inning and lasered a ball over the right field wall to give Pacific the lead and held on for the 4-3-win Sunday afternoon at Bill Simoni Field, ending the 2026 season with a win.

The bomb highlighted a three-hit afternoon for the redshirt senior, the third of her season and the 12th such game of her career. In her career, she finished with 14 home runs, 66 RBIs, 165 hits, and 110 runs scored. Silvestre will go down as a top-ten Tiger in career walks while ending her collegiate career a top-ten Tiger in batting average, slugging percentage, doubles, hit-by-pitches and on base percentage.

Pacific (18-34, 6-12 WCC) fared well when she was able to collect three hits in a game as the program went 8-4 over three seasons.

Two batters after Silvestre's homer, fellow senior Allie Capello drove in what proved to be the key run of the game when she singled home freshman Kelly Whelihan to make it 4-1. Capello's final collegiate game saw her finish with her 15th multi-hit bid of 2026 and her final season RBI count of 32, a mark that led the team.

Two of the other seniors honored this afternoon collected his as both seniors Asia Lee and Amanda Bricker knocked singles. Lee's hit was her first of the season while Bricker's final career ledger reads 76 hits.

In the circle, sophomore Kaytee Dahlstrom notched her second win of the weekend with a 5.1 inning performance allowing three runs. The Meridian, California native was able to work around six hits and a walk before getting replaced in the sixth inning with a lethal strikeout pitch – notching seven punchouts. In her first season as a Tiger, Dahlstrom finished tied for the most wins in the circle on the team and second in strikeouts.

The only student-athlete ahead of her in the strikeout category is the same one who tied Dahlstrom in wins, and that is sophomore Alexa Lewis – who finished the game for the team. Lewis picked up her second career save after navigating the final five outs, three of whom she struck out.

Between her and Dahlstrom, they became the first pair of Tigers with more than 50 strikeouts in a season since Hailey Reed and Myka Sutherlin in 2019.

For Head Coach Sam Duran-Kukuk, she is poised to return 19 of the 24 student-athletes currently on the roster for the 2027 season.
