STOCKTON, Calif. – On Thursday afternoon the West Coast Conference released its All-Academic Team, earning senior
Jordan Hayes her third selection to the team while fellow seniors
Olivia Silvestre,
Allie Capello,
Amanda Bricker, and sophomore
Peyton Clifford were recognized as honorable mention.
Hayes' inclusion on the All-Academic Team caps a career in which she made the team in all three years of eligibility. She was one of six Tigers that graduated last weekend, earning her degree in mathematics. The senior appeared in 51 of 52 games for Pacific this year, compiling two homers, ten doubles, and 13 RBIs.
One of four honorable mentions, Bricker repeats from a season ago – earning honorable mention in both seasons of eligibility. Over graduation, Bricker earned her speech-language pathology degree and will be continuing her education at Texas Tech University as she pursues a doctorate in audiology. In her final season as a Tiger, she mashed five home runs, eight doubles and drove in 11 runs while walking more times than she struck out.
Following suit, Silvestre made her second appearance as an All-Academic Honorable Mention – meaning she too earned recognition in every year of eligibility. The San Ramon native completed her degree in Geological and Environmental Sciences this semester and will now be pursuing a career in hydrology, water resource management and sustainability. This recognition comes a week after Silvestre was recognized as First Team All-WCC after repeating as one of the conference's top student-athletes. This season she tallied 53 hits, 17 doubles, a triple, four home runs, 23 RBIs, 17 hit-by-pitches and 12 stolen bases.
Pacific's third senior to earn honorable mention, Capello recently earned her Pre-Pharmacy degree and will be attending the Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy as she looks to earn her doctorate in pharmacy. On the field, Capello hit over .300 at the dish with 52 hits, 12 doubles, three triples, four homeruns and was one of the country's toughest to strike out, going down only eight times in 52 games. Her performance against Montana in March will go down as one of Pacific's great single game performances, tying multiple school single game records.
Rounding out Pacific's representation, Clifford earned honorable mention honors in her first season of eligibility. The sophomore appeared in 51 of the team's 52 games, compiling 37 hits, eight doubles, a triple and 17 RBIs. She is currently in her second year pursuing a psychology degree, which she is scheduled to complete in the spring of 2028.
