Olivia Silvestre Repeats as First Team All-WCC Softball Selection

5/12/2026 2:00:00 PM

STOCKTON, Calif. – Capping a record-book career, redshirt senior Olivia Silvestre was named a member of the West Coast Conference's First Team when the conference released its postseason softball awards on Tuesday afternoon, while fellow senior Allie Capello was awarded honorable mention.

Over the course of 18 conference games, Silvestre slashed .392 at the plate with four doubles, a triple, two homers and 13 RBIs. True to her leadoff position in the order, she was tough to strike out – going down on strikes only four times while drawing 11 walks and was hit by four pitches for a total on-base percentage of .515.

The redshirt senior's best weekend of the season came in April against Santa Clara in which she hit .444 with three doubles, a homer and four RBIs to lead Pacific to the sweep over the Broncos and the program's first player of the week award since 2024.

In earning the award Silvestre became the first Tiger to earn consecutive First Team All-WCC nods since Sydney Lahners Jr. in 2017 and 2018. She also joins Lahners Jr. and Hailey Reed as the only Tigers to earn multiple WCC First Team honors in program history.

Season long, she drew top-ten WCC marks in batting average, runs scored, hits and stolen bases while posting top-five marks in doubles, walks, on-base percentage and led the conference in hit by pitches. Broadening the range to a national level, she ranked 42nd in doubles and 13th in hit by pitches.

Within Pacific's record book, Silvestre will go down as a top-ten Tiger in career walks while ending her collegiate career a top-ten Tiger in batting average, slugging percentage, doubles, hit-by-pitches and on base percentage.

For Capello, her honorable mention bookends her career with conference recognition after earning honorable mention in 2023 after her freshman campaign. Her conference season saw her in several run producing scenarios and produced eight RBIs to rank third on the team. Capello also tallied two triples and a homer amongst her 14 hits.

Following a similar formula, Capello was the WCC's tenth ranked RBI producer while establishing herself as one of the 100 toughest student-athletes to strike out in the country.

As a pair, they were the only Tigers to bat above .300 this season and, for Capello set a personal best batting average.
