"Today was an amazing day," head coach Ryan Redondo said. "Glen Albaugh said it best: 'things don't always end the way they are supposed to end, but today did.' For our seniors, in their last match, against a very good ranked team, the guys went out and had so much determination to not only get it done, and get a result, but do it in the right way. I'm very proud of that. That's a great next step before the conference championships."
The Tigers improve to 14-12 overall and 6-3 in the West Coast Conference. BYU falls to 7-2 in WCC play and 18-6 overall on the year.
Pacific will head to next week's West Coast Conference tennis championship at Biszantz Family Tennis Center in Claremont, Calif. The Tigers will get underway in the opening round on Thursday, but must wait on Saturday's action around the conference to be complete before seeding is settled.
