Moraga, Calif. - The No. 66 Pacific men's tennis team swept Saint Mary's Sunday, 4-0, in a West Coast Conference match-up in Moraga.

Sem Verbeek, Jose Chamba and Miguel Diaz posted singles wins, while the Tigers took the doubles point on a tie-breaking win from Daniel Alameh and Lance Ngo.

The Tigers improve to 5-1 in WCC action and 13-10 overall.

Verbeek & Giannini posted a 6-3 win over Nash Vollenweider & Brian Lee at second doubles. While the Gaels' Thomas Hunt & James Markiewicz won at first doubles over Jose Chamba & Miguel Diaz, 6-1. At third doubles, Alameh & Ngo outlasted Jacob Lagman & Alec Wagner, 7-6 (7-3).

In singles, Verbeek swept Hunt, 6-4, 6-0, at first singles, while Chamba took out Markiewicz at second singles, 6-0, 6-4, at second singles. Diaz turned in a 6-3, 6-0, win at fourth singles.

Alameh led Lagman, 6-2, 5-1 at third singles, while Giannini led Manuel De Luis Lamalas, 6-4, 3-1, at fifth position. Bernardo Oliveira was up on Campana, 6-2, 4-0, unfinished.

Saint Mary's falls to 5-13 overall and 0-5 in WCC play.

"It was a super job by the team today," head coach  The Gaels came out strong in doubles and Lance Ngo came through big time with some great serving at third doubles.  From there all six guys came out strong and very professional in their play and attitudes.  We have a great week planned to be ready for our next test."

Pacific will visit Portland on Sunday for a 10 a.m. first serve as WCC play continues.
