STOCKTON, Calif. – At Raney Sand Volleyball Courts on Sunday morning, the University of the Pacific Beach Volleyball team won its home opener, 4-1 in a dual match against Sacramento State. The Tigers improve to 2-5 on the season.
NOTABLE HIGHLIGHTS
- Picking up the first point of the day for the Tigers was the pair of Miranda Baptista and Sammie Sheppard in two sets. It was the second straight win for the pair.
- Lucy Carpenter and Hania Taduran won their first match as a pair in Flight #4.
- Clinching the match for Pacific in Flight #3 was Jenny Todd and Jadyn Tubbs. After dropping the first set, the pair went on to win the next two sets for the dual match-clinching victory. The pair has a team-high four wins this season.
- Although the Tigers had the dual match victory secured, their fourth point was earned in Flight #1 with a two-set win by Hanne De Schrijver and Sedona Sherman.

UP NEXT
On Saturday, April 17, the Tigers and Hornets meet again for a dual match hosted by Sacramento State. The contest is part of a tournament in which the match will be the first beach volleyball match at the new facility, Hornet Beach. Start time is set for 10 a.m.
Later that day in the tournament, Pacific meets San Jose State for a dual match at Hornet Beach set for 1 p.m.
