STOCKTON, Calif. – When the WCC released its Beach Volleyball All-Academic Team Wednesday afternoon, seniors Kelea Saxton Vaka and Joelynn Abougoush were selected to the team as fellow senior Josephine Kinlan and sophomore Charlotte Gibson were named honorable mention.

Both Saxton Vaka and Abougoush are repeat members of the team, having attained the honor in 2025. The former student-athlete is preparing next month to graduate with a degree in business administration specializing in sport management and analytics while her counterpart on the team will graduate with a pre-dentistry degree in May.

Kinlan, a two-time All-Academic selection, was named honorable mention this season – meaning her academic performance was recognized in all three years of eligibility. In May, the senior will graduate with two degrees – one in Media X and another in communications.

Gibson meanwhile is recognized in her first season of eligibility, majoring in biological sciences. She is on track to complete her degree in spring of 2028.
