SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The beach volleyball program started its weekend off in Moraga, Calif. for a match with Saint Mary's in which Pacific fell 5-0 on Friday before taking on San Francisco Saturday morning for a doubleheader that saw Pacific fall 4-1 and 5-0.

FRIDAY
The Tigers put up a solid fight but could not string together enough momentum to get past the Gaels. Juniors Josephine Kinlan and Kelea Saxton Vaka came the closest to forcing a third set at four points in the second set.

SATURDAY
In a competitive match one, Kinlan and Saxton Vaka pulled out their first official wins of the season on court one, taking down their opponents in straight sets 21-8, 26-24. One the remaining four courts, despite the losses Pacific was able to keep many sets within seven points.

Match two saw both senior Ashley Davies/sophomore Makayla Beckett on court four and sophomore Joelyn Abougoush/freshman Sydney Priebe on court five take their opponents to three sets but could not pull out the wins.
