Napa, Calif. - The Pacific men's tennis team opened fall play at the Silverado Invitational, tying with Oklahoma State, 3-3 Friday. Kumara Pardha Adavelly won his debut for the Tigers.
Four Pacific student-athletes were in action as Adavelly downed Nathan Roper, 6-4, 6-4, and the Tigers posted both doubles victories.
In doubles action, Adavelly and Daniel Alameh dispatched Roper and Tristan Meraut, 8-4, while Miguel Diaz and Sem Verbeek turned in an 8-4 win over Lukas Finzelberg and Jurence Mendoza.
Diaz fell to Finzelberg, 6-2, 6-3, while Verbeek was topped 6-4, 6-3, by Meraut. Alameh del 6-4, 6-3, to Mendoza.
Pacific faces Tulsa on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
