Albuquerque, N.M. - The Pacific men's tennis team dropped a 4-0 neutral site contest against Oregon at New Mexico on Saturday, Feb. 8 at the Linda Estes Tennis Complex. The Tigers fell to 2-3, while Oregon improved to 7-1.
"It was a very competitive match today with a lot of opportunities that passed us by," said Pacific Head Coach Ryan Redondo. "We have a lot to learn and we'll develop as we continue through the season."
The Tigers fell at No. 1 and 3 doubles, though Sophomore Sem Verbeek and sophomore Miguel Diaz were leading 7-4 at No. 2 when the doubles point was decided. Pacific fell at No. 1, 3 and 5 singles, but sophomore Daniel Alameh was leading at No. 2, sophomore Ben Mirkin was leading at No. 4 and sophomore Marlon Brand was tied at No. 6.
The Tigers are next in action with a road match at Fresno State on Wednesday, Feb. 19.
