Biography

2014-15 (Senior): 
Marlon Brand finished his season with 11 wins in singles play and 16-9 record in doubles play.  Brand defeated opponents from No. 9 University of Vigina and No. 59 University of San Francisco. He and partner Daniel Alameh had four WCC wins including a win against No. 74 Portland. 

2013-14 (Junior):
He and partner Daniel Alameh earned All-West Coast Conference Second Team Doubles honors. They won 10 matches in 2013-14, playing all but two matches at the No. 1 slot. Brand was 4-3 in singles action, all coming in the dual match part of the schedule.

2012-13 (Middle Tennessee State):
Marlon joins the Tigers as a sophomore after transferring from Middle Tennessee State. He was 7-8 as a singles player in 2012-13 for the Blue Raiders, but 2-0 in dual matches. He was 14-16 as a doubles player, including eight wins in dual matches teaming with Yannick Born. Brand helped the Blue Raiders to a top 50 national ranking.

Personal:
Brand is from the Netherlands, where he excelled at all levels of tennis. He has been ranked in the top 10 in his age range since he was 12. Training at the Dutch Federation for eight years, he has represented the Netherlands in an international youth tournament. Marlon was the 2009 ITF4 doubles champion and ranked No. 9 nationally. Brand finished second in the 2009 national singles and finished in the top three nationally in 2006 and 2007. Marlon competed for the Netherlands in the Blauwe reiger tournament in Brugge Belgie (similar to the Davis Cup). He won the Tiod Open, a regional tournament in the Netherlands. He is the son of Andre Brand and Karin Hartmanns. He is a business major at Pacific. Brand''s father played soccer professionally. He plans to start his own business after graduation.
