STOCKTON, Calif.—Pacific women's soccer (6-4-1) returns to Knoles Field where they will open West Coast Conference play against Portland (6-1-2) at 7 p.m. on Saturday. The game also marks Youth Soccer Night with postgame autographs to follow at the conclusion of the game.

Aly Milford and fifth-year seniors
Lauren Frohan and
Jaida Nyby. Freshman goalkeeper
Libby Davy collected eight saves in the net.
The Tigers have four players scoring in double figures. Nyby leads the way with 16 points on seven goals and two assists while sophomore
Alexis Pashales is second with 12 points on five goals and two assists. Frohan and sophomore
Anaya Shelton have both notched 10 points on four goals and two assists.
Davy has seen action between the pipes in all 11 starts. The Adelaide, South Australia native has grabbed 39 saves and recorded her first career shutout against Fresno State on Sept. 14.
Both Nyby and Davy currently rank in the top 100 nationally in statistical categories. Nyby's total goals and points are ranked 29th and 39th, respectively. The Eugene, Ore. native is also 48th in goals per game (0.6) and 60th in points per game (1.5). Davy is ranked 97th in the country in total saves.
As a team, Pacific is 41st in total goals (24) and 50th in total points (66). The Tigers' scoring offense is also ranked 54
th (2.18).
In the last 10 meetings, Pacific has only beaten Portland once. The win came in a 2-0 road shutout at Merlo Field in 2017. When the Tigers were last on the road in 2022, the Pilots took the 3-1 victory.
Portland was picked to finish second in the 2023 WCC preseason poll. The Pilots are led by All-WCC Preseason Team member Nedya Sawan who is the leading scorer with nine points on three goals and three assists.
Portland also has an enormous defensive presence in goalkeeper Bre Norris who was also named to the All-WCC Preseason Team. She leads the league and is third in the nation in goals against average (.222) and shutouts (7).
Both the Pilots and Tigers have won six games in non-conference this season. Two of Portland's victories were against UC Irvine (1-0) and Cal Poly (2-0). The Tigers lost to both of those teams. In addition, Pilots played Oregon State to a 1-1 draw compared to Pacific who earned a 3-1 victory in Corvallis.
After the conference opener, Pacific will travel to Malibu to take on Pepperdine at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
