STOCKTON, Calif. – Returning home from its two-match road trip in Southern California, the Pacific women's soccer program welcomes Weber State for a 7 p.m. tilt on Thursday at Knoles Field.

The Tigers (0-4) seek some home cooking after playing three of its first four matches away from the friendly confines of Knoles Field, hosting the Wildcats (2-2-1) tomorrow evening. The first 100 students will receive free pizza at the match.

Sophomore Yohonna Bell has been the jolt of energy on offense for the Tigers, pacing the team with three points (1G, 1A) and six shot attempts in four matches. Bell is tied for 14th in the West Coast Conference with her three points and 22nd with her six shot attempts.

Sophomore Makayla Marin-Valencia also has been a key Pacific attacker up front, tying Bell in the shots department with six to her name. Marin-Valencia scored the Tigers' first goal of the season in the season opener at Sacramento State.

On defense, the Tigers have divided the playing time in half thus far, with sophomore Lis Van Herwijnen and freshman Ava Wells each starting a pair of matches. Van Herwijnen started last time out at UC San Diego where she made a season-high seven saves on 28 shots faced by the Tritons. Her ten total saves are tied for ninth in the WCC leaderboard.

Weber State enters the competition coming off a 3-0 defeat to the hands of Long Beach State but won its prior two matches against Oregon State at home (2-1) and at Wyoming (2-1). Weber State is 1-1-1 on the road this year.

The Wildcats' offense has been dispersed evenly with five different goal scorers through five matches, led by Oakley Anderson's three points and nine shot attempts.

Lauren Butorac has started all but nine minutes in the goal for Weber State, owning 1.83 goals against average with 27 saves and a clean sheet against Utah in the season opener.

Pacific and Weber State will meet for just the third time in the series history with the Tigers holding a 1-0-1 record over the Wildcats. Most recently, Pacific drew, 1-1, in Ogden, Utah during the 2024 campaign. The Tigers won by a 2-1 margin in Stockton, California in the first all-time meeting which at the time extended Pacific's unbeaten streak to seven straight matches.

Thursday's contest will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with a 7 p.m. kick-off from Knoles Field.
