DAVIS, Calif. – The Pacific women's soccer program returns to the road for a short drive up the I-5 for a crosstown clash against UC Davis on Sunday at 7 p.m. at Aggie Soccer Field.

The Tigers (0-5) are in search of some momentum against the Aggies (1-3-1) following a closely-contested 1-0 defeat to the hands of Weber State on Thursday.

While the Tigers' offense has shown flashes of creativity and scoring chances, the bulk of those opportunities have come off the foot of sophomore Yohonna Bell. The native of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma paces Pacific with a goal, an assist, three points and five shots on target through the first five contests of the 2026 campaign.

Defensively, freshman Ava Wells turned in a career-high ten-save outing as the goalkeeper in the effort last time out by the Tigers. Wells has racked up 17 saves on the year in three starts, which places her tied for fourth in the West Coast Conference with a Portland keeper.

Freshman Nora Cullen has been a backbone for the Pacific defense, leading all Tigers in minutes thus far with 430 accumulated to her name. Along with Cullen, junior Gianna Gagliano have served as the primary center backs through the midway point of the non-conference slate. Both defenders have each tallied over 400 minutes total across the team's five contests.

After opening the season with a 2-0 win at Fresno State, UC Davis has scored just one goal across its last four matches with a most-recent 1-1 draw against former Big West conference foe UC Santa Barbara. The Aggies, who were picked to finish eighth in the newly entered Mountain West preseason coaches' poll, are 0-1-1 at home with a 1-0 loss against Sacramento State in the Causeway Classic match-up and their home opener.

Courtney Wagner was named to the Mountain West's Soccer Watch List at the start of the campaign, and she currently owns an assist, and a team-high eight shot attempts in 385 minutes as an attacking defender.

Similarly to Pacific, UCD has divided its goalkeeping playing time between a pair of individuals with Dina Frenkel leading her team with a 1-2-0 record, a 1.33 goals against average and 11 saves across three starts. Frenkel collected the lone clean sheet in the season-opening win over the Bulldogs in Fresno.

Pacific and UC Davis meet for the third straight year in non-conference action. The Tigers dropped a 2-1 decision to the Aggies last season at Knoles Field. Head coach Jeff Freeman's squad is looking to earn the program's first victory over UCD since the 2022 season where Pacific escaped with a 1-0 road win. In that contest, the Tigers scored 13 minutes into the second half and earned a clean sheet via Brenna Crump's four-save bid.
