STOCKTON, Calif. – #1 California and #2 UCLA, the top two teams in this week's CWPA national rankings, will provide the opposition as the #7 Pacific men's water polo team (5-0) opens the home season in the Chris Kjeldsen Pool at the Douglass M. Eberhardt Aquatics Center this weekend.
On Saturday, Sept. 16, Pacific will host #2 UCLA (7-0) in a matchup of two 2022 national semifinalists. UCLA is also off to a fast start with seven wins, including an 11-9 victory over Stanford. Fans attending the match will receive a mini championship banner, commemorating the 2022 Golden Coast Conference championship from last season, which provided the automatic entry into the NCAA Tournament.
On Sunday, Sept. 17, the Tigers will host #1 California (7-0) in a rematch of last year's national semifinal. The Tigers are looking to avenge a 16-9 setback in the 2022 NCAA Tournament to the eventual national champion. The Bears have won their first seven games, including a 12-5 win over #2 USC last week.
The Tigers enter the home weekend after taking last weekend off following winning five matches at the Bruno Classic in Providence, including a 13-12 victory over host Brown last Monday. Senior transfer
Aleksa Šišakovic leads the team with 17 goals while graduate student
Stefan Vavic has tallied a team-best 23 points with 10 goals and 13 assists. Šišakovic, who is tied for the WCC lead in goals, was the first WCC Player of the Week after his performance at Brown.

General admission season tickets for the eight-game home schedule are available for $30 for adults, $24 for seniors (60+) or $15 for youth (ages 5-17).
Single-game tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $5 for youth.
High school-aged boys and girls can participate in a post-game clinic after any home game this season for $10, which includes a game ticket. The one-hour clinic will begin 30 minutes following the match and will be conducted by Pacific coaches and student-athletes.
