STOCKTON, Calif. – A valiant effort from the Pacific men's water polo team was barely not enough to overcome top ranked UCLA 13-11 Friday afternoon from Chris Kjeldsen Pool at Douglass M. Eberhardt Aquatics Center.
Pacific (3-2) was able to keep pace with the Bruins (3-0) due in large part to the efforts of sophomore
Borisz Kasa-Gal, who put up a match leading four goals. Right behind him was freshman
Gabor Holl with a hat trick and four student-athletes with a goal apiece. A late

Kiss Gergely was able to convert eight saves on the afternoon to stem any extended Bruins runs. UCLA was never able to score more than two goals at a time without a Pacific answer and as such never led by more than three goals the entire match.
One area the Tigers were able to outshine UCLA was in the steals department, swiping five to the Bruins' one.
The team will be back in the pool a week from today, making the short trip to Berkeley to face Cal on September 11 at 7 p.m.
