STOCKTON, Calif. – No. 10 Pacific men's water polo returns home following a 3-1 start to the season out east to meet reigning NCAA Tournament Champion, and current top ranked, UCLA to Chris Kjeldsen Pool at the Douglass M. Eberhardt Aquatics Center on Friday at 3 p.m.

The Tigers were heavily tested over the opening weekend of the season, falling in sudden death overtime to No. 5 Fordham in a neutral pool and beating 17th ranked Harvard in the Crimson's home pool. Rounding out opening weekend, Pacific handily dispatched Iona and MIT both by double digits.

Sophomore Petar Popovic exploded for six goals in that season opener against Fordham.

Flash forward to Friday, a Tigers win would be the first over UCLA (2-0) since 2013, which came via a 10-9 triumph at home in a clash of the country's top two teams. Meanwhile, the matchup represents the first bout with the country's number one since 2023 when Cal stopped in Stockton.

Friday's afternoon action will be available for stream on ESPN+ and the first 100 fans in attendance will receive a sunglasses themed promotion.
