STOCKTON, Calif. – The two-time defending regular season champions Pacific men's water polo program released its 2026 schedule Friday morning, highlighted by matches against seven of the eight NCAA Tournament teams from last season and a home match against defending national champion UCLA.
"We are extremely excited about the team we built for this season, and the schedule is going to be a fantastic opportunity for us to prove the quality of our program every weekend," Head Coach
James Graham said.
The team opens the season in August with an east coast swing, traveling to Rhode Island and Massachusetts to face a quintet of northeastern schools before returning to Chris Kjeldson Pool to host reigning champion UCLA on September 4 at 3 p.m. only to turn around two days later to face national semifinalist Stanford.
The remaining three September matches will all take place on the road, going to California, Long Beach State and USC.
Final preparation match against American River College and West Valley College open October for the team and serve as tune-ups for conference play.
The West Coast Conference opener is set October 9 on the road to face San Jose State, followed by the WCC home opener against LMU on October 11. Over the last two seasons Pacific has been near unbeatable in the regular season, going 11-1 in conference matches.
The Tigers then hit the road for two WCC matches at UC Davis and Saint Mary's, before a home non-conference match against Princeton and neutral site games against Harvard, Iona and Bucknell interrupt the WCC slate to end October.
November gives fans two chances to see the team in Stockton against Santa Clara and Pepperdine, preceded by the final road WCC match versus Air Force. One last non-conference game at UC Irvine concludes the regular season.
The conference tournament is slated to be held at Santa Clara this season.
