Women’s Soccer Hosts San Francisco for Senior Night

STOCKTON, Calif.—Pacific women's soccer (8-9-1, 2-5-0 WCC) hosts its final game of the season, welcoming San Francisco (6-8-3, 3-3-1 WCC) for Senior Night at 7 p.m. on Saturday.

Prior to the game, the Tigers will honor Juliana Alexander, Lauren Frohan, Audrey Fuchs, Ryanne Molenaar, Jaida Nyby, Hana Rosenblatt and Laila Saravia.

Pacific earned its second West Coast Conference victory of the season at Loyola Marymount by a score of 2-1 last Saturday. Sophomore Anaya Shelton gave the Tigers the 1-0 lead in the first half while teammate Alexis Pashales notched the game-winning header to seal the win. Alexander grabbed four saves in between the pipes.

Pacific has four players in double-figure scoring this season. Nyby and Pashales both lead the Tigers with 17 points on seven goals and three assists. Both are ranked in the top 10 in goals and points in the WCC.

Shelton is third with 13 points on five goals and three assists. Frohan is fourth with 10 points on four goals and two assists.

Alexander has seen action in six contests with five of them as starts. The Bakersfield, Calif., native has collected 26 saves on the season. Alexander earned the first conference shutout of her career at San Diego on Oct. 7.

The Dons lead the all-time series against the Tigers with a record of 7-1-2. During last season's meeting at Negoesco Stadium, both teams played to a 1-1 draw. Nyby scored Pacific's lone goal off the assist from sophomore Haley Johnson in the 24th minute.

San Francisco has earned three WCC victories this season. Two biggest moments for the Dons were upsetting nationally ranked Santa Clara once in non-conference and once in conference action.

San Francisco is third in the league with 70 total saves and 4.1 saves per game. Goalkeeper Kira Ybara is second in the WCC with 4.3 saves per game and six shutouts.

On offense, Marissa Vasquez leads the Dons with 13 points on six goals and one assist. She had a multi-goal performance at Saint Mary's on Sept. 30.
