REDLANDS, Calif. -The Pacific Women's Water Polo team continues its winning streak on Sunday after an impressive 14-7 victory over the Redlands Bulldogs. This victory takes the Tigers' record to 7-9.
"Today, the women were able to capitalize on our recent momentum and control the game early on," said Head Coach James Graham. "It was a great opportunity to get everyone in to get experience. The team was especially excited to see some athletes score their first collegiate goals; that is always a special moment for everyone."
Freshman Addison McGowan had a standout game for the Tigers, scoring three goals.
Senior Toula Falvey and senior Emma Myall both had two goals for Pacific.
Junior Aristiana Modica, sophomore Annikah Lillie, senior Ana Martinez do Amaral, senior Lucy Davis, freshman Ilyana Zlobinsky, freshman Ashley Morris and freshman Szamira Koppany all scored one goal for the Tigers.
Sophomore Isabelle Knittle was in goal for the Tigers, capturing a .533 save percentage.
Lillie, do Amaral, Davis, freshman Hila Futorian, McGowan, Koppany and Knittle are all credited with an assist for the Tigers throughout the match.
McGowan had three steals, and do Amaral had two. Modica, sophomore June Akpata, Zlobinsky, Koppany and Knittle each had one steal for the Tigers.
The Tigers travel to Fresno State to continue GCC conference play Saturday, Mar. 26 at noon.
