At the beginning of the season, the Tigers lost to the Spartans by one goal. Today, they earned their own one-goal victory.
"That was an exciting game," said Head Coach
James Graham. "The girls played with a lot of energy, heart and determination and what makes me the happiest is to see a team that has stuck together through some adversity and found a way to get a big win against a top team in the country. "We're really excited about it, and it's coming at the perfect time heading into conference next week."
The game against the Spartans was neck and neck for its entirety.

"It was a big win today," said Duarte. "We are super excited going into conference now that we've got our mojo back. We played San Jose State at the beginning of the season and lost by one goal, so this is redemption. We're back on track. We're coming together as a team, and our defense is playing super well. We're adapting and cheering for each other. That's what it means to be a Tiger."
Futorian had two steals, Vulpisi had one, do Amaral had one, and Duarte had three. Vulpisi had six crucial saves throughout the game.
"I think we realize that we are capable of doing what we've done this weekend and playing the games we did," said Vulpisi. "We lost yesterday, 9-4, but to a top-five team in the country. Today we won, and that's the momentum we need to prove to ourselves we are capable of winning this year."
