STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific women's soccer team (5-1-6) is back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 7 p.m. Pacific hosts Saint Mary's (4-2-4) at Knoles Field.
The Tigers are coming off the best non-conference season in program history and plan to replicate that success in the conference schedule.
"We can't wait to get back at it tomorrow night vs. St. Mary's." Said Co-Head Coach Danesha Adams.
Now that we are in the conference season, our players are well aware of how vital each match is, and they are looking forward to playing at Knoles in front of our fans," added Co-Head Coach J.J. Wozniak. "It will be another big WCC match."
In the best season of her career, Jenae Packard leads the Tigers in assists and is tied for the team lead in goals with three. Packard's six assists are tied for the conference lead. Packard has set career highs in both goals and assists with eight games remaining in the season.
The Tiger's standout goalkeeper Brenna Crump is having another standout season. Crump was named WCC Defensive Player of the Week after her nine-save shutout against Santa Clara. Crump leads the conference in saves with 58.
As a team, Pacific is second in the conference in corner kicks with 74, just trailing Pepperdine. The Tigers have had 12 players score a goal this season while eight have assisted on a goal. Seven Tigers have started every game this season.
Saint Mary's opened the conference season with a 0-0 draw with BYU after gaining four wins in non-conference play. The Gaels won 10 games last season with four wins in the WCC. The Gaels have outscored their opponents 14-10 this season, averaging 1.40 goals per game.
The two teams have played to two straight draws, a 1-1 tie in 2021 and a 0-0 tie in the Spring 2021 season.
