Tigers Prepare for Pilots

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific women's soccer team (5-2-10, 0-2-4) travels to Portland (10-2-4, 4-2) as part of the final road trip of the year.

The Tiger's 10 draws this season are an NCAA record, beating the previous record of nine set by William and Mary in 2009.

"As we've consistently said, our players are looking forward to the next big WCC challenge, and this one is no different, heading to Portland to play a team that's had a fantastic season so far," said Co-Head Coach J.J. Wozniak

Fifth-year senior Jenae Packard leads the team in assists with six and is tied with freshman Anaya Shelton and fifth-year senior Haleigh Wynne for the team lead in goals with three. Packard is tied for second in the WCC in assists. Brenna Crump leads the conference in saves with 91, 11 more than the next closest goalkeeper. Crump is second in the conference in save percentage.

"There is still so much to play for, and we know our opponent will be ready to go, and so will we," stated Co-Head Coach Danesha Adams. "We've had to sit on a result last time out we weren't happy with for an entire week, but our players have enjoyed a great week of training, have been very focused on their preparation, and are more than ready to pick up a big road win against the Pilots."

Portland is coming off a 2-0 win over Saint Mary's on Wednesday. The Pilot's only two losses this season have come against Santa Clara and BYU. The Pilots have scored 13 more goals than their opponents this season despite having a shot-on-goal disadvantage of 81-83. Portland's goalkeeper, Bre Norris, leads the conference in save percentage and goals-against-average.
