STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific women's soccer team (5-1-10, 0-1-4) continues to hold its own in the WCC, having only dropped a single match 16 games into the season. Pacific will host Pepperdine (7-3-4, 1-2-2) at 7 p.m. on Saturday at Knoles Field.
"Our players can't wait to get back on Knoles Field tomorrow night and play at home again," said Co-Head Coach
Danesha Adams. "Pepperdine is having another good season, and we truly hope our fans and the soccer community will come out in full force to support our Pacific Tigers."
Senior
Brenna Crump continues her outstanding season. Her 86 saves lead the conference by a wide margin, and her .835 save percentage is second in the WCC. Fifth-year senior
Jenae Packard is tied for second in the conference in assists and leads the team with six. Packard, fifth-year senior
Haleigh Wynne and freshman
Anaya Shelton are tied for the team lead in goals with three.
"This match will not disappoint and is expected to be a tremendous game between two teams that play an entertaining and attractive brand of soccer, who are both going to do all they can to secure the victory at the end of the 90 minutes," stated Co-Head Coach J.J Wozniak
Pepperdine is coming off a wild match against BYU, going down 3-0 early before scoring three second-half goals, losing by one. A 2021 NCAA tournament team, Pepperdine remains one of the top teams in the WCC, ranking second in the conference in shutouts (7) and third in goals per game (2.15).
