FRESNO, Calif. – Facing the Bulldogs for the third time in four weeks, the Pacific baseball team (7-17, 0-9) will aim to break their skid with another midweek matchup at Fresno State (7-13, 4-8) on Wednesday afternoon.

THINGS TO KNOW:
- Hungry to break their ten-game losing streak, the Tigers last victory came against Fresno State on Mar. 17 in a thrilling 3-2 victory at Klein Family Field.
- Hitting .240 as a team (eighth in WCC) with an average of 3.9 runs per game, the Tigers are led offensively by junior infielder James Arakawa, who currently sits sixth in the conference in batting average with a .354 clip. Overall, the Walnut, Calif. native leads the Tigers in batting average, OPS (.831), hits (28), RBI (9), total bases (32), on-base percentage (.426), sacrifice flies (3) and sacrifice bunts (2).
- As a staff, Pacific sports a 5.68 ERA heading into Wednesday, placing them ninth in the WCC. Sophomore transfer Hunter Hayes is set to make his first start since Mar. 27 at San Diego and his sixth overall of the season. So far, the right hander has tallied 19 strikeouts in 18.2 innings pitched in his first year in the Orange & Black.

- Overall, the Tigers and Bulldogs have met 149 total times in program history, with Fresno State holding the all-time lead, 101-48. This season, Pacific and Fresno State have split their first two matchups, with the home team winning by one run in each game.
- As a team, the Bulldogs rank second in Division I in double plays per game (1.15) and are tenth in the country with 23 total double plays on the year. Within the Mountain West, Fresno State currently leads the conference in home runs (21) and total walks (92) while also placing fourth in runs (116) & slugging percentage (.418) and fifth in scoring (5.8) & on-base percentage (.356).
