Jaida Nyby Receives Postseason Award

SAN MATEO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference postseason awards for women's soccer were announced Saturday afternoon. From the University of the Pacific Women's Soccer program, one member of the team received postseason recognition.

Jaida Nyby was named to the 2020-21 All-WCC Women's Soccer Second Team.

Nyby scored a goal in her first game for Pacific. She went on to finish tied for the team lead in goals, for the season. She was one of seven Tigers to start all 12 games in the spring. Jaida was on the pitch for 982 minutes this season, which was the 4th most on the team.

Quote From Coach Moore:
I could not be happier for Jaida! She hit the ground running here at Pacific and in the WCC. It is a testament to the work she did in preparation for her first season here. She came in physically and mentally ready to contribute to this team and really set herself up for success. I know she is also proud to receive this recognition for her team as well. She will be the first to tell you that having a member of our team on a postseason award list means people are seeing some changes in the squad with the way we are trying to do things. I am very proud of Jaida and I believe there are more accomplishments to come for her and this program.
