STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific women's soccer program played its final match of the 2025 campaign, dropping a tightly contested 2-1 decision to Washington State on Saturday afternoon at Knoles Field.
The Tigers (4-9-6, 1-6-4 WCC) struck first in the opening five minutes of the match, but the Cougars (7-7-5, 5-4-2 WCC) in their first-ever contest as a visiting West Coast Conference member ultimately took the result.
Junior
Kaya Rosa scored her second goal of the season in the fifth minute off a beautiful pass into the box from redshirt junior
Faylinn Berkowitz for the Tigers' earliest goal they've scored this year, giving Pacific a 1-0 lead. Berkowitz collected her first assist of the season on that primary helper.
Freshman
Lis Van Herwijnen earned the start in goal for the 14th time this season, making a pair of saves in the effort defensively. Van Herwijnen finishes the year with 62 saves and a 1.86 goals against average.
The Cougars found the back of the net twice, tying the game on a goal by Keira Mitchell in the 24th minute and an eventual game-winning goal in the 48th minute by Journey Middleborn.
Pacific led in the shots department by a 13-9 margin.
With the 2025 season officially in the books, the Tigers look ahead to 2026, doubled their win total from a year ago with impressive wins at home over Utah State and Santa Clara.
