STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific women's soccer program has completed its 2026 signing class on Wednesday, as announced by head coach Jeff Freeman.
The class consists of nine Tiger recruits, including a goalkeeper, three defenders, two midfielders and two forwards that look to bring depth to the team ahead of the 2026 season.
"This is our first full recruiting class here at Pacific and I couldn't be more excited about the players and the personalities we are bringing to our team," Freeman said. "Assistant coaches Joel Bancroft and Taylor Book did an amazing job helping rally this group and bringing in great players and great people into our program! Their impact will be immediate and widely felt throughout the Pacific community. This group, along with our returning players that are working hard this spring, will continue to push Pacific women's soccer to the top of the West Coast Conference."
Ava Wells, a native of Kennesaw, Georgia, did not allow a single goal in 430 minutes across 17 games last season as a senior.
"Ava is an incredible player and person and will make an immediate impact on our program both on the field and off," Freeman said. "Her ceiling is high and I believe she has the potential to develop into a tremendous professional goalkeeper in the future."
Brooklyn Cornish, a native of Manteca, California, brings some local flavor to the Tigers. Cornish collected seven goals and three assists in 74 games across her high school career at Manteca High School.
"Brooklyn has the presence and athleticism of a seasoned college player, and I love we got to keep a top local player here at Pacific!" Freeman said. "I'm excited to see what she brings to our team on day one."
Brynn Fitch, a native of Ludington, Michigan, will bring some stability to the backline. The left-footed defender was a 2023 ECNL National Champion.
"Brynn is as hard of a worker as they come!" Freeman said. "Arriving early this January at Pacific Brynn brings a mentality of what it takes to be great. I believe she will be setting the tone for us in a lot of ways and is someone that will push herself and those around her to a higher level."
Nora Cullen, a native of Spokane, Washington, rounds out the trio of defenders in the 2026 class. While at Mead Senior High School, Cullen was named the defensive most valuable player during her senior year.
"Athletic, gritty, and a tough defender, Nora brings qualities to our backline that fit our style of play," Freeman said. "Nora can play in the center or wide, she has the athleticism and soccer IQ to fit into multiple positions for us!"
Caroline Carr, a native of Springfield, Missouri, represents a talented midfielder from the class who earned the 2024 Golden Boot Award while on the Varsity team at Glendale. She also brings eight years of club experience to the squad, most recently guiding KC Athletics in 2024 the Elite 8.
"Caroline comes a from soccer family and a great Midwest club in KC Athletics," Freeman said. "She also has the soccer IQ and toughness to play anywhere in the midfield for us. Strong, levelheaded, and smart, she makes us better in a lot of different ways!"
Canyon Tucker, a native of Durango, Colorado, also brings some depth to the Pacific midfield. Tucker scored five goals and three assists across three seasons at Rock Canyon High School.
"When I think of West Coast Conference midfielders, I think of players like Canyon," Freeman said. "She is dynamic, clean on the ball, and has a big engine to cover ground and connect things for us! Mature beyond her years, Canyon will fit into our program right away!"
Julie Valdez, a native of Fresno, California, bolsters the midfield group further, bringing some family lineage to the Tigers as her aunt Yvette played soccer at Pacific. Valdez led her high school in goals and assists as a junior.
"Julie also comes from a soccer family, and a Pacific soccer family!" Freeman said. "I couldn't be more excited to add tradition to this class, and with a player who can play anywhere in the midfield and potentially up top for us as she is also a very proven goal scorer!"
Sadie Fletcher, a native of North Ogden, Utah, was a forward for the Utah Avalanche with a hard-working mindset and gritty determination. Fletcher has scored 29 goals over 30 games across her high school career.
"When I think of Sadie Fletcher, I think athlete," Freeman said. "She has the ability to keep teams on their heels with her pace, determination, and ability to take on one-on-one challenge. She also has a really high ceiling, and I think she will get better and better day after day here at Pacific! I'm looking forward to seeing Sadie score some goals in the Pacific orange and black!"
Zoe Shepherd, a native of Novato, California, comes to Stockton as the lone transfer of the recruiting class. Shepherd made previous stops at Miami and Arkansas where she has played a combined 19 contests across the two prior destinations.
"Zoe is a seasoned collegiate player who I have personally seen score goals," Freeman said. "Motivated and ready to go, Zoe will help us immediately as we look to improve as a team in the final third! We look forward to bringing her high level experience to Pacific!
With the 2026 recruiting class complete, Freeman and his team look ahead to the 2026 season.
