  • In the fourth, San Diego continued to use their home field to their advantage, adding three runs on four hits to push the score to 9-0 in favor of the Toreros.
  • Aiming for a comeback, the Tigers scored their only runs of the contest in the top of the fifth. After getting on base with a double to lead off the inning, senior Wyatt Hoffman came around to score when sophomore Thomas Gavello reached on an error by the USD pitcher. In the next at-bat, junior Jeremey Lea plated two Tigers on an RBI double into left center field to trim the Tiger deficit to 9-3.
