Game Notes: Pacific | Seattle

On Deck

The Tigers will be on the road to start this week before returning for another home weekend, playing one game at San Jose State before heading back to Stockton for a four-game series against the Seattle Redhawks.  Pacific is 5-5 this year and will look to stay above .500.

The Tigers lost both their games against San Jose State last year but won three straight before that.  In the all-time series, San Jose State leads 85-73, including a 45-29 mark at home.

Pacific has only played Seattle seven times in its history and holds a 4-3 lead in the overall series.  The two teams last faced off in 2015, when Pacific won 4-1.  The only full series between the two schools came in 2010, when Pacific won three of four games in the home series.  Tickets for the Seattle series are available online.

Last Time Out

The Tigers lost on the road at Fresno State before a home series against Penn State that saw them go 1-2.  In their one win, the Tigers got 5.2 shutout innings of two-hit ball from Ricky Reynoso before Cooper Casad and Vince Arobio closed out the win.  Nick Iwasa hit .500 on the week, driving in two of his four RBI during Pacific's win.  Matt Tarantino would drive two runs in in the 6-1 Tiger victory as well as he had three doubles and a homer in the four games.

Kevin Sandri would also shine at the plate for the Tigers, hitting .400 for the week.  Ryan Shreve and Bailey Hansen joined Reynoso as the Tiger pitchers not allowing a run, with Shreve pitching three innings of relief that saw just one batter reach base via walk.
