Senior (2018):
- WCC All-Academic Team Selection
Pitched in 18 games and started in 10 for the Tigers in 2018 posting a 3-6 record with a 3.93 ERA. Third on the team in strikeouts with 46. Second on the team in innings pitched with 73.1. Was tied for the third most appearances among Tiger''s pitchers. Threw a complete game in a loss to BYU on 5/17 allowing five hits, two earned runs and two strikeouts. Tossed seven and a third inning of two-hit-shutout ball at Pepperdine on 4/8. Stuck out a season-high five batters twice, once against Loyola - Marymount on 3/31 and again against Pepperdine on 4/8. Earned a four-inning save against Utah Valley on 2/23 when he did not allow a hit, struck out five batters and walked two.
Junior (2017):
In his first year at Pacific, Casad earned a starting pitching spot for the second half of the season. He started seven games and appeared in 19 registering five strikeouts per nine innings. He threw a complete game against St. Mary''s allowing eight hits and one walk.
College of Marin (2016):
Playing alongside future Tiger teammates Matthew Tarantino and Ryan Schalch, Casad pitched to a 3.24 ERA in his 91.2 innings of work as a sophomore. He went 9-4 and recorded a save, starting 10 games in 18 appearances. Casad struck out 79 batters as well that year. His strikeout and innings totals led the team as Casad made the All-Conference First Team.
College of Marin (2015):
In his first year of college, Casad had a 3.26 ERA in 49.2 innings. He started one game, going 3-0 overall with one save in 24 appearances. Casad struck out 6.16 batters per nine innings of work. He was named an All-Conference Honorable Mention after his freshman season.
High School:
A dual sport athlete, Casad played baseball and basketball in high school at Summerfield High School.
Personal:
Casad is majoring in sports management here at Pacific. He is the son of Dennis Casad and Christine Plociniak and has two sisters: Daven Allison and Katy Casad. His sister Daven played beach volleyball from 2000 to 2005 as well as in 2008. Casad comes from Petaluma, California.
