Tigers Capped by Waves

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Pacific Tigers Men's tennis team fell 4-0 to Pepperdine on Saturday at Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center in Malibu, California. Pepperdine improves to 6-7 overall, and the Waves are 2-0 in West Coast Conference play this season.  The Tigers fall to 8-9 overall and move to 1-1 in WCC play. 

The Tigers fell behind after dropping the doubles point in two sets.  Tadiwa Chinamo and Akram El Sallaly were topped by Stefan Menichella and Jack Van Slyke 6-1, while Guilherme Hadlich and Gabriel Sidney would defeat Ross Watson and Miguel Diaz 6-2 to secure the doubles point.  

In singles, Hadlich swept Chinamo 6-0, 6-0 for the first singles point, while Nathan Hampton battled tough but fell 6-2, 7-5 to Dane Esses.  To secure the match, Lautaro Pane defeated Ross Watson 6-2, 6-4.  

The Tigers are back in action Sunday at 1:00 PM at Loyola Marymount who are 4-11 overall and 0-2 in conference play.
